Meet the Team - Matthew Stanners

MATTHEW ALSO KNOWN AS MATTY STAN

Matty is one of Sam’s closest friends and has been around since the day he was born. We have no idea how he puts up with Sam! He regularly comes into the yard on his days off work (he works for local alarm company - Border Safeguard) and is always around on a Saturday morning helping out with yard duties and most importantly brings in the sausage rolls. Matty has ridden since he was 4 years old, takes part in all the border common ridings and hopes to be the Royal Burgh Standard Bearer one day. He also enjoys going racing and tries to play rugby in his spare time.

2) Most enjoyable moment in racing? Going to the Grand National when Captain Redbeard ran/Seeing Tiger Roll win for the second time

5) Fascinating fact about yourself? I used to work in the butchers as a cleaner

7) What super power would you want and why? Time travel - I would find it very interesting

8) Work pet peeve? When Sam comes home and thinks he’s in charge and annoys everyone
